There are probably times in all of our lives that we're not content where we are. Sometimes we aren't happy with where we are in life, generally. Other times, we're not content in a specific situation--the town in which we live, our house, the church we attend, our job.....you get the idea. Living with these feelings of discontent is not fun. We feel unsatisfied, unfulfilled, unmotivated.
I have something to say to all of us, today---bloom where you're planted........or plant yourself somewhere else! If you know for sure that God has called you to be where you are, dig in your heels and get to work. I'm sure you've heard the quote, "Be the change you want to see in the world". If you aren't happy with your situation or with the things going on around you, change it! Get involved, volunteer, organize, re-decorate, make new friends--do something, because doing nothing is going to change nothing.
And if all else fails, replant yourself and bloom there! We can do that, you know? And it's ok. In fact, maybe it will be the best thing you've ever done.
Just bloom somewhere, because living a discontented life isn't fun. It isn't the life God intended us to live. He wants us to live in a way that brings glory to His name and that reflects His greatness! There will be hard times no matter where we're planted, but if we water ourselves with the Word and let His light shine on us and through us, we will get through the hard times and continue to bloom and thrive.
Happy Saturday!!
